Traveler looking for climbing partners in Greece (Meteora), Albania, Macedonia, Kosovo, southern Bulgaria, Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia

I'm currently in Iceland and will be backpacking through these areas starting in a few weeks and in the order listed in the title (no job, no girlfriend, no plans kind of trip). I'm carrying my rock shoes and harness and would like to do as much climbing as possible wherever I can meet partners.

I have projected up to v7 and 5.12- (TR) in the gym, but most of my outdoor climbing is in the 5.7-5.10 zone and my gym climbing is usually 5.9-5.11 and v4-v6. I like to project on things but when it comes to outdoor climbing I really just like to enjoy good company on any route at any level. As long as I'm outside wearing a harness and making jokes with my climbing partner I don't care what I'm climbing. I'm a conscientious, safety oriented person when it comes to climbing and mountaineering, and don't take unnecessary risks because there are too many other fun things in the world I want to be able to do.

I'm a pretty cheap traveler so am carrying my tent and camping/cooking gear to save money on this trip, but I have little to no plans so far so would be happy to make a detour for the right climb and/or partner.

My girlfriend and I will be in greece in late may for about a week. Ill be solo from the 27th to the 32st. Let me know if you will be in greece around that time as we would be happy to climb with you.

Hi Trevor. I've left mainland Greece for Albania but will hopefully loop back to Kalymnos once I'm in Turkey in a few weeks/couple months. Not sure of my timeframe since I'm hitch hiking and bumming around, but I'll let you know if I can meet you!

Nope not yet! I got distracted and went to Israel and Egypt. Going back to Turkey in a few days to pick up where I left off. Do you live in Armenia or are you travelling through there? I'd say it will be at least a month before I'm in that area.
