Hey people of the Pacific Northwest,

What would you do if you had this weekend free in Seattle?

This weekend (2/28 and 2/29) I will be in Seattle, and no set plans. I would like to use the chance to check out some of what the Pacific Northwest has to offer, but I need some suggestions.

While getting out todo some rock routes would be ideal, since I don't have a partner and am no familiar with the area, I'm not sure how feasible that is. I'll be free starting Friday night, and just need to be back at SeaTac Sunday afternoon.

I'm willing to rent a car, but given my constrained time would like to minimize driving to 3 hours tops each way (less is better).

Can anyone suggest some good hikes, scrambles or camping in the area that would work well given the time of year (weather) and my schedule? What sort of gear would I need (hiking boots, microspikes, crampons, snow shoes)?

Or does anyone have some plans to climb and would not mind a tag along (or just need me for the car)?

Any non-Trollenor suggested appreciated!

If you're looking to climb I'd check out exit 32 for sport, index or Leavenworth for trad

If it were me and I was from out of town? I'd visit one of our many state stores. Enjoy.
