Help: How to Show Current Location iPhone App Map?

I'm sending this question out to the MP forum with the hope that someone knows this problem and a way to resolve it. I have an iPhone and the maps in the app do not show my current location. Does anyone know how to make the maps show your current location, or is this simply not currently a feature of the app?

I did some searching online and on this site, but I wasn't able to find a solution to this issue. Thanks for your help!

You might have the location privacy setting turned off. Check the phone settings; there are two places (the general "location" settings, and settings for the MP app).

Thanks for your response, Nick. I've played around with all of my location and privacy settings, but to no avail. I even updated iOS. Your response has confirmed that the app should be showing my current location on the maps.

Has anyone else had issues with their location not showing up on the iPhone app maps?

The location used to show up on the map when I was using Android, but since switching to iPhone I haven't been able to make it appear. I was sad for the loss in functionality, I'd love to hear if someone has a solution. Or fix the app if that's the problem.

Fingers crossed, Nate, that someone posts a solution :)

I can reproduce the problem. We're on it, but it will take at least s week to get through apple. Thanks for the report.

We found the bug (actually a new "security feature" in iOS8) and convinced Apple to do an expedited review. If you update the app to the latest version (3.12) or reinstall it, your location should be shown.

That fixed it! Thanks Nick, the app is a huge resource for exploring new areas, I use it a lot

The location functionality on the map on iPhone seems to have stopped working again. Just wanted to let the developers know.

Thanks!
