Anywhere open to boulder?
|
I want to drive down into the States from Montreal in a week's time to look for some bouldering. |

Anything in the Northeast is going to have snow or be wet. Gunks or Rumney won't be closed to climbing, but expect snow. |

Please don't use a blow torch to warm the rock. :-D |
|
Shoveling off the tops of boulders has begun at Lincoln Woods though there is still a lot more work to be done... |
|
Do people really boulder when overnight temps are -20 to -30 C? |

Nolan, |

I swung by Rumney today to have a look and there is tons of snow. Temps are supposed to get down to -18F tonight. I got out of the car and walked a few hundred feet to check out the new path and said "Fuck it's cold" and got back in the car and contemplated stopping in at Pete's house to take a poop in his nice warm bathroom, but continued on for some coffee. It is not optimal conditions. |
