can anyone identify this cord? i found it at the crag attached to this plastic plate that i think was meant to protect the rope over a sharp edge.
given its thickness (i haven't measured it but i have compared to other size cord) and stiffness, my guess would be some kind of technora or spectra cord.

unknown cord next to 7mm perlon

also, are technora, titan, and kevlar the same material cord but different names?

My guess this is Blue Water Titan(TM) cord with Dyneema 5mm. An "old" color, now days they don't have it on theirs Web-site: bluewaterropes.com/product/… I have a cordalette hand made from the same cord, but seems there is no chance to remember/remind where and when I got it.

upd. Just found a recipt for 20 feet of Maxim Tech Cord 5mm in my archive. Most likely it is it. Thus most likely the cord on a photo is Maxim Tech Cord 5mm.

If you can burn right through it with a lighter then its nylon

If the sheath burns but the core doesnt then Its some kind of tech cord
