Hello,

I will be taking my first trip to the ORG and I am wondering what the best walls and areas that have:

high density
quality routes
5.11-5.13 range
Steep and juggy to vertical and techy - does not matter to me
I am more of an onsight climber, but if I find something interesting I am willing to give it a few burns.

I will be going in March for about a week and so I am wondering what I can expect for the weather. ie. if it rains, what stays dry.

Any info is helpful. Thank you,

Do you have the ORG guidebook?

Ccliffe...check out the routes on Great Wall of china in central gorge. Long, vertical and lots of 3 and 4+ star 11s and up. There's also some buttresses there that are really exposed and something like 17-19 bolt pitches. Sun till mid afternoon west facing and huge so it accommodates lots of parties. There's lots of photos of it and it's only a 10 min walk north of the the access gully under the power lines adjacent to warm up wall. And if you're up for it there's some mixed trad/sport routes in between. Totally perfect pocket of cliffs there.

Great - thanks a bunch guys.

I currently do not have a guidebook. I know it is tremendously helpful but I will only be there for a week. Is the route finding tough or complicated??

Also check the Dilithium Crystal and Eldorado Roof areas. The stuff is all over the place really, particularly in the range you've asked about. Probably the best way to whet your appetite and get the most from your visit is to buy or borrow the guide once you arrive. Have fun.

It's practically a grid bolted outdoor gym...it doesn't get any easier to find routes and stay on them!

If you have a partner that is up to it too, do towering inferno. And check out Eldorado Roofs section.
