Big Bend or Gold Bar Campground?

I'm planning a trip to Moab for a group and need to reserve a group site. I was wondering which campground has better climbing (trad) close to it or on the way to it from Moab, Gold Bar or Big Bend. It would be nice to be able to climb on the way back to camp after mountain biking or canyoneering to get full days in.

I'd recommend the gold bar campground. The river road (128) has a few routes along it as well as a fun bouldering area, but if you want to get on some easily accessible trad routes you want to hit up Wall Street (which is between moab and the gold bar campground) down 279. It does get shade starting around 2-3pm right now, but it's warm enough to climb all day.

You'll want to jump on it though - Gold Bar fills up fast. If you can't get Gold Bar, Goose Island is another good choice. Mile and a half from Moab, close to the spring and a couple routes right across the river. Better option than Big Bend.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
