Ski bindings for La Sportiva Spantiks

Looking for a ski binding that will be compatible with La Sportiva Spantiks. The primary use would be for skiing mostly easy terrain with some small easy hills to access ice climbing. I realize climbing boots aren't ideal for the downhills but would mostly use as a means of transportation on terrain well within my ability.
In addition, my wife and I frequently do multi day X/C ski trips in the boundary waters and I'm thinking that the Spantiks would be much nicer for 5 days at -30 than my current set up with Soloman boots (single boots) and SNS bindings which are prone to ice up on multi day trips.

I may do Denali in the next 5 years so something that can do at least the easier glacier terrain on the approach would be nice.

The only binding I've read will work is the Silvretta 500, however I don't believe those are made anymore. Is my best bet to wait for a good deal on a used set of Silvretta 500's or is there anything on the market currently that will work?

I have some Fritschi Freeride bindings on my skis and my Koflachs fit fine.

I think a lot of binding systems would fit mountain boots but nobody tries because as you know its very tough to ski in them. Maybe the Mountain Project community and go grab there boots and skis and try them out and we can put the myth that only Silvrettas work to bed.

There are plenty of Silvrettas floating around on the net but they aren't great for aggressive skiing. I think you'd be better off finding a better binding that happens to fit mountain boots.

disclaimer* I suck at skiing.

Silvrettas are the way to go. Good luck finding them! I've got the 404s. The pivot point on them is a bit wonky be prepared for some blisters as you get used to them! Oh and the 404s are heavy as hell!

Someone is selling them...

Preface- Sorry, I have no real value to add to this thread.

I see this thread pop up regularly, it always seems silverettas are the most recommended binding. It got me thinking though, it does not seem it would be that hard to redesign a big mountain boot with a tech compatible sole... anyone know if any manufacturers are considering this? Tech is the way to go, in my opinion for touring. Sure the boots would ski shitty, but so do the silverettas I hear. I know you can ice climb in some of the lightweight dynafit boots, although they suck

I didn't follow that link. Guess I am not the first person to consider it.

Does anybody have any personal experience with a single leather boot paired with fritschi freeride bindings? Although I would only want to use this combination for flat approaches it seems like it could be a nice combination when the ski in/out doesn't merit taking AT boots. I have experimented with adjusting my fritschi freeride plus bindings to my La Sportiva Trango Ice boots and it seems like they will fit/work ok though i wouldn't count on them releasing reliably.

Anyways I'll report back if I end up trying this out but would love to hear other people's experiences with similar combinations of boots/bindings

Fritschi's Freeride will work.
Mine do anyway. But, I would hesitate to point them downhill.

I've climbed ice in AT boots.

I just put together a set with Rossignol BC 110's, Fritschi Eagles, and I use Salewa Vert Pros. The boots fit well, they ski well in free heel mode, and the release characteristics are fine... assuming the toe piece is vibram and not hard plastic, I adjusted my din -2 compared to the heel (I think I have them at 4 and 6 respectively) but I'm not skiing hard. The toes do release laterally, and the heel releases the same as a proper ski boot. My boots are pretty stout and high ankle, which I'd recommend. All in all I'm very pleased with this set-up. I can cruise rolling terrain really well, quick and easy with plenty of control IMO. The biggest hassle was mounting the bindings, because there is little information or a shop able to do it because no one has the Fritschi jig.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
