This spring.

If you have never been to this delightfully ghetto and historic amusement park off Sheriden Blvd. and I-70 in Denver, then it's about time you went with a bunch of other denizens from here. It's ridiculously cheap, the rides look like they will kill you, and everything was made sometime in the 1970s. Remember the ride from the Simpson's called the Tooth Chipper? It's called the Wild Chipmunk here, or at least that's what I remember after being flung into the side of the car violently.

Once we figure out when the weather is right, we'll set a date.

My favorite ride is the wooden roller coaster, mainly because it doesn't make me want to barf.

They will!! That rollercoaster came off the tracks and went into the lake back in the day if I remember right. More dangerous than a 5.11X lead for sure.

So many urban legends circulated through my school back in the 70's-80's

The teenager that stood up on the roller coaster and got decapitated(his head was never found!).

The lady that died in the Funhouse, haunting it and forcing it to be demolished.

The guy in the local high school whose summer job was to climb the roller coaster and hammer in all the loose nails.

If you wanted to impress the girls, you went to Elitches.

Good times.

Batman totally found that.

I think the image implies that Batman is in possession of a head. Now that may or may not be the head in question, but since Batman is also imaginary, it could in fact be the one missing at Lakeside in that terrible accident.

We had a lot of stories when I grew up in Houston as a kid, but precious few about Astroworld and decapitations. I did however sneak into the park once without paying along with three black dudes. I however unfortunately found the stagnant pond covered by dried, dead grass and fell in up to my neck. "Ha ha! White boy fell in the water!" I still went and rode the rides, what else ya gonna do? No decapitations that night. I did however run into the hottest girl in middle school, Kathy Potter, and her jerkoff date Erez Sitzer. He gave me the eat-shit-and-die glare, but she smiled and called me Stichypoo as I recall. Ugh. What a fucking night.

Ah, I couldn't see the image. Sorry to ruin the joke...

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
