Hey Las Vegas community...I've been wanting to build a climbing wall in the garage and am looking for recommendations on someone to do the carpentry work. I've thought about tackling it myself but honestly I'm lacking on both time and expertise and want to make sure it's done right. I thought this might be a good place to get some ideas...if you have built a wall or know someone with the skills I'd be thankful for any info and all advice.

Thanks!

It's totally possible with no skills or time. I built mine in about 3 months with zero help. I devoted an hour or two after work, and prior to this project, I hadn't worked with wood since middle school shop class approx. 20 years ago. I also reworked my whole lighting system and laid padded carpeting with absolutely no previous experience in electrical or flooring. Here's a few pics of the results. You can do it, and it will be so much more rewarding.

Built my garage out over a few days (and many beers) during the long new years weekend. Not hard to do with just a couple power tools and basic knowledge of woodworking.

Move the pads and i can still park the van under the wall in the garage.

Appreciate the replies, guys, and the offer, Mr. Farley. I actually (finally) started the wall yesterday, having decided on a good design and approach. Beer fridge is stocked. I'll throw up some pics once it's completed!

Started out with a simple 45 degree, came together ok! Putting shelves in behind it to utilize all that space for storage. Planning the next segment that will have just a slight overhang for that 5-year old monkey.

Need...more...holds......

Nice work!
very inspirational to those of us crawling along on our own projects.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
