Anyone have eyes on any turkeys down there recently? Planning on taking the wife turkey hunting this spring and looking for places to start scouting. If you lead me to a roost tree I'll throw ya a case of beer or a belay. For 2015 we're trying to limit buying any meat from the grocery store.
I know where there are dozens , unfortunately they wander between the cheyenne mountain zoo fence , cheyenne mtn road and the Cheyenne mountain estates .
We're doing the dig on the new Australia section of the zoo and I pass buy dozens of them just wandering along Cheyenne mountain road everyday . Seems they are getting as bad as the deer that wander that stretch of road . Hell you could club a dozen just walking the shoulder !
I don't know if they head up country into the national forest later in the spring but you might scout em out n see . Long shot but ?

Thanks for the reply!!! We're looking to stay a little closer to denver for the time being. I was hoping there would be some sitings in the Foxton/Deckers/Turkey Rocks area, or somewhere off the 285 corridor. Heading out today to do a little scouting/scrambling. I'll keep that in mind as season gets closer. I hear these things are almost as hard to hunt as Elk.
