I think that was a smart-ass dig at Aliens failing under rated strength.

Aliens ..tried them a bunch over a couple of years and never used them again...too long and too clunky to use

Is that rope backcliped?

No such thing as back clipping bacon. The way bacon draw works is it auto adjust no matter which way you clip.

That is why it is so underrated.

I believe wired bliss then metolious. CCH Aliens were definitely later. I know they did trigger cam and then the seismo prior to aliens.

Still have set of wired bliss and set of aliens and alien hybrids.

I believe sewn webbing would get my vote. Today's climbers probably don't recall having knotted slings. The suspicion and justifying the added cost when they first sprung up. Bill Forrest was first and he used "X" in a box stitch. All was 1" webbing!

The guy who pretty much invented the modern TCU (I think Lowe may have come up with the original idea,) started Wired Bliss. He then partnered with the guy who started Metolius. Long story short, the WB guy felt like Metolious guy stole his ideas and designs. Long thread on it buried over in Tacoland. The TCU was defiantly mainstream many years prior to Aliens.

Wired Bliss resurfaced a few years ago with both TCU's and regular cams. Awesome product for the money.

As far as my most underrated piece, small wired hexes. The pink tri-cam is up there, but that piece has taken up far more than it's share of bandwidth.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
