Our bivy spot. We chose to bivy before the rappel point because the weather was not good. We didn't want to commit to the route only to wake up to no visibility and have to bail down to the Carbon. We found this spot just a couple hundred feet before reaching point 10,300 ft.

This shows what we felt was the easiest line through the snowfields and rock bands of the upper Curtis Ridge.
Typical conditions on the upper section of Curtis Ridge. Plenty of snow slopes in between rock bands, all steep and exposed.
