For anyone who has built a Moon Board ( moonclimbing.com/moonboard/…):

Did you buy the holds from England? I've thought about building one, but the shipping charges to the U.S. are outrageous! At the current exchange rate it's ~$75 per set and it looks to me like you'd want a minimum of 3 sets.

I had heard the Moon Climbing may have had a U.S. distributor, but couldn't turn up any solid information. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Unless you want to focus on nasty little crimps with thumb catches, just get the 2 new sets. I think that gets you a couple hundred problems. The new sets won't include feet for the bottom, but any cheep jibs will do.

I can't remember, but they do have an e-mail for USA inquiries.

Since each set has so many holds, it's maybe $1.25 per hold to ship from GB. That doesn't seem too awful.

I also considered the moon board holds but ended up buying here and there instead. I bought just as many holds (3-400), and still spent a lot on shipping..

Hello Guys and Girls,
I'm also looking to buy the moonboard holds.
Has anyone figure out how to get them to via inexpensive shipping to California?
At the moment (7-22-15) it looks like it would cost about $700 total (including shipping) to get all 3 sets.

Thanks,
Carlos

Hi Aaron,
Sent you a message. I'll buy the holds from you if they are still available. I have a new baby in the house and it's amazing, but my outside and gym time have been cut to almost zero for a while. It's okay, but I want to be proactive with my climbing and build a wall in the garage to train on whenever I can.
