Morocco in April

Hey all

About to leave for a 3 month stay in Morocco, the first two months I'll spend in Rabat teaching and then head to the mountains in April to do some climbing. I have my sights set on doing big routes in Taghia. Since it will be my first visit, the classics like Canyon Apache and Belle et Berbere are on the list. For later in the month I can think of a few more ambitious objectives...but first I'll have to remember what it is like to climb limestone.

I climb in the 7s at the crags back in CA (Tahoe/Yos) but grades don't seem to mean as much in a new place where the adventure is high. And I have lots of big wall/long route experience that I'm sure will get put to the test in Taghia. Maybe you have some routes you've been dreaming about doing there? or something you think might go free? or a new line you've been eyeing? If yes, you'll know where I'll be.

Huh, I thought I was the only American venturing far to climb. If either of you have access to a Tafraout guidebook you wanna sell I'd be eager to buy one. I'm leaving for Morocco in March and presently don't have a guidebook. Thanks

I've never been to Morocco, but I desperately want to go!

The tickets from Madrid, Spain (where I'll be March 19-April 7, might go to France or Portugal too?) to Morocco skyrocket in April, so I would like to go in March!

Email me heather.invictus@gmail.com or text me (209) 985-7593 & let's adventure!

Erik Sloan (the guy who wrote the big wall book for Yosemite) told me Alex Honnold said Morocco is his favorite place to climb. I must go!!

I'm teaching in Rabat til the end of march so i wont be available then. But it looks like Leslie is interested. If you stick around til april and wanna climb in Taghia let me know.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
