has anyone converted to intuitions in their spantiks? I'm wondering if my normal shell size will work or if i would need to size up to accommodate the greater interior volume that an intuition would take up as compared to the stock liner. any suggestions?

I have intuitions in my Spantiks but my shells were a little big to begin with. When I got my liners (from Bent Gate) the guy fitting me said typically if you want to get intuitions you buy a larger shell to begin with.

Noooo, my friend has the intuition in her Spantiks, it's stiffer than the stock liners, you're gonna need to spend a couple hours with a good boot fitter.
The overlapping tongue makes for very thick and stiff padding on the shins.
She ended up getting Baruntse liners to put in her Spantiks.

I've read a bunch of good beta on Cold Thistle about switching out stock liners to the Baruntse liners. I have Scarpa Phantom 6000s and have been contemplating the switch. Are the Baruntse liners warmer than most stock liners? Why do people recommend them so much?

The Intuition "Denali" model liners are an overlap, but they also make tongue style liners. Browsing the site, it looks like the Aqua liner is a mountaineering boot height, tongue style liner. This might be less "very thick and stiff padding on the shins" per Luc's comments above.

wow first time logging onto this website in a long time and we have nick taking advice from THE tsug man....although the right answer would have been for mike to say forget the beefy liners and bring another bottle of rye. cool to see me in your picture tsuji, nick here you are coming back up this spring?
