I'm actually heading to Mexico tomorrow to climb Izta and Orizaba, but should be done with my other climbing plans by the 29th-30th. I would love to take a detour in Monterrey and do some climbing in Portero Chico before I head south to Oaxaca. I'll be bringing shoes, harness, atc and personal anchors -- but don't have room for more gear as I'm already packing an ice axe, double-plastic boots, etc.
I sport climb in the 11's in places like Malibu Creek and Riverside Quarry, and lead trad up to 5.8/9 in places like Joshua Tree and Tahquitz (I say this with humble reluctance, as I know there are 5.8's in Yosemite and Tahqtuiz/Suicide that may very well kill me ;) ).
I'm safe, experienced, easy to get along with and stoked to climb as much as humanly possible...
Also, if you don't plan on bringing much gear yourself, I'd be more than willing to share expenses for rentals (I beleive that's possible in Monterrey) or a guide (would rather not, but no entirely opposed to it).
pm if interested, I look forward to hearing from you...
