Hi,

I'm looking for trad/sport climbing partners in Moab in the beginning of April, probably around April 5th-14th. I know this is super early, but I'm new to thew site and just curious to see what kind of response I'll get.

P.S. also looking for BLM free camping recommendations/ gps coordinates.

Good camping can be found out on the Dalton Wells road north of Moab.

+ 1 for Dalton Wells. The climber's parking lot for Castleton Tower also has free camping and has a much higher ratio of interesting people to drunken 4-wheelers, but will fill up quickly in the late afternoon that time of year.

It's also really annoying if you're climbing Castleton when there's about 50 people in the campground who are just hanging out. There's a lot of spectacular camping around Moab, save the limited space at the Castleton campground for the folks climbing in Castle Valley.

Just thought I would chime in that both of these spots are at least 10 miles outside of town. Anything closer is not free and fills up FAST.

Start in Moab and get acquainted on Wall Street and then knock out any towers you want to tick. After that go to the Creek.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
