Glove Repair

I guess I need to post up a pic. But...

I have a pair of leather gloves, must be 2-ply on the thumbs. The outer layer has worn through a hole, right in the center. (So now when I'm clipping the carabiner magically ends up inside between the layers of glove on the end of my thumb) Anyone have thoughts on the best way to repair? If I sew a patch on it, I'll have the stitching on the inside against my thumb and i'll have to do some funky pinching or whatever to get the needle back out(should note I'm not the best at sewing, that's why i'm tentative). I was thinking could I glue down the outside? I've never used it, but what If I put a layer of aquaseal to bond the 2 layers together right there and just leave it 1-ply and however thick I layed on the goo....

Idk what I'm talking about... suggestions?

Yup - do that with Aquaseal or Seamgrip.

+1 there's another brand called seam seal as well.

Creative use of a "Tenacious Tape" patch with all corners rounded and a bead of Seamgrip around the edge usually works for me.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
