Mike Anderson wrote:Wow, that kind of does look like Goliath in a certain light. No guess??? |

I don't need to guess, I know what that is, but I'll let someone else try because I just had a turn. |

Monomaniac wrote: No guess???So here's the deal. I posted the area and possible route/s. Is the area even right? You gotta say yes, or no, to the area. It is really a 2 part question everytime. Are we even at the right destination? The Mad Hatter?, but that wouldn't get you pumped.... edit too add, Mike Anderson is soooooooo kickass! Damn your knowledge straight to hell! |

No, the area is not correct. The rock type is incorrect, and the state is incorrect. The grade is in the right neighborhood, but also incorrect. |

My internet sleuthery tells me it's the West Pillar (aka Vestpilaren) of The Priest, in the Lofoten region of Norway. |

Totally comparable to The Grand Wall at Squamish Chief. No fair if you were looking at my tick list if that's what you mean by 'internet sleuthery.' Either way, you are up. |

Tony B wrote: No fair if you were looking at my tick list if that's what you mean by 'internet sleuthery.' Either way, you are up.I would never cheat, unless I was really desperate. I recognized the region immediately, then it was just a matter of figuring out the specific route, which was not too difficult with Google Images. Anyway... Guess |

Is the area that place in Germany or the Czech were you have to use knots for pro? |
|
I guess the answer is "yes"? There is a place (or places?) in Germany AND a place (or places?) in the Czech Republic where metal protection is banned. |

Looks like the Elbsandstein. Don't know the name of the tower |
|
Mike Marmar wrote:Looks like the Elbsandstein. Don't know the name of the towerYou have the correct area. I don't need a route name, but the name of the formation is pretty easy to find. Here's a topical hint on how to find it: Chris Kalman wrote:So, interesting thought at the link below about the Dawn Wall. What do people out in MP land think about this? |
