I heard once that there was some forest service or BLM camping in Ouray. Anyone know about this?

Just search previous old threads Plenty of talk about this. But yes, up CampBird road, but before the ice is a campground. Freeze yer ass off though! Get heater!
Just spend $40 bucks a night in town, sleep in a warm place, dry your stuff out after climbing, and most of all support the local economy that farms the ice in the park and plows the roads to the backcountry climbs.
I'd support it if I could I'm living out of a car. Please don't assume people have money. and yea I haven't seen any place under 60 of which I could afford 2 nights.
riverside cabins. or be sure to look in to where the sun rises, so you can at least warm up in the morning. camping at orvis hot spring in ridgway is pretty nice.
