Heading to Patagonia in Dec and Jan, for about two weeks, wanted to climb some stuff and explore.

Does anyone have any tips ? trusted outfitters? or anyone going down there needed a partner ?

I'm thinking about heading down there as well -- still in the planning phase but roughly the same time frame. What kind of climbing are you looking to do exactly (mountaineering/scrambling, alpine climbing, big wall, trad cragging, etc.)?

Hey !
Looking to do some easy mountaineering/ alpine stuff! I have a rack, gear (crampons, ice axe etc) and have some experience doing Baker, and some mountains in British Columbia.

I also lead trad and sport so I don't mind do that either.

Right now ill be attempting Mt. Washington in the summer and Mt. Adams in Sept,

I was thinking about doing the Alpine Insutitute but it's a bit pricey,

thought it might be cheaper to go out there on my own and jump on a group or a meet up with people.

Whats your plan ?

I have to be in Chile for xmas with family but other than that I am free.

I've been thinking about heading to the Frey in December or so....

Granite towers and fun crack climbing plus great weather....

Also, am currently living in WA next to Erie. If you're looking for a climbing partner up here let me know. We could go to Index or Squamish or something....

I am also planning to head down there for 3.5 weeks in Dec-Jan with the same objectives. It seems as if we have similar skill level. I am looking for partners.

Please PM me if interested (OP and anyone else looking for partners).

I'll chime in here too. I'm working on heading down there this winter too. Id be up for the Chochamo and Frey area or El Chalten. Ive been climbing ten years and comfortable on most all terrain. I have a partner interested in going but he has a nagging elbow injury so he is not sure what will happen.

Have any of you all been down there before ?

I'm going to jump in here as well. I'll be in Bariloche late October, November and December. Looking to mainly trad climb in Frey as soon as the conditions are suitable but would be up for climbing anywhere around Bariloche.

So are any of you going to be in Chalten soon? I am just finishing up six weeks around Bariloche/Frey and am planning on heading down to El Chalten on Monday or Tuesday.

I'm in El Chalten now and here till Feb and looking for a partner as my current partner had to leave early.

Thanks!

Nate
