A quick watch suggests that she was not selected for her climbing knowledge.
I did find the long dangling slings oddas well. Running with those = wipe-out coming soon.

Ms Kay moves like a climber. Almost has to be one.

The fluttering slings etc are for visual appeal. The video is meant for the Alex Honnold 60 Minutes climbing video public. Not any worse than many of the others out there.

Which makes it ripe for extreme ridicule.

^^^
While I think the video is hilarious, she's pretty much by definition a pro climber, because I bet she got paid to climb (& moves better than most that are ridiculing the video). Any of the rest of you can say that?

Seriously?! Did you watch the last video where she was climbing with the muscle guy in the gym? She has horrible technique on the traverse. And I love how she took the muscle guy to the overhanging bouldering wall, clearly wanted to shut him down on it, but the guy (with absolutely no technique whatsoever) actually climbed smoother than she did.

TO save time just fast forward to 27 second and watch for 4 seconds.
The rest is boring...

Probably a promo video to pitch marketing services or video editing.

What baffles my mind is that you shoot at a place littered with climbers and I'm sure most would have happily consulted on how to rack her slings, etc for free or for a small free, yet they opted to make her look sloppy and inauthentic and leave the rest of us shaking our heads.

Even she probably knew how to rack. The camera guy wanted a cooler look and she shrugged her shoulders and said "whatever".

Superb athletic skill, Nathan. I bet she has also done Pilates, yoga, cross-fit and maybe Thai Bo.
You folks did see that she is a model actress, right?
vimeo.com/jolenekay
She even has an IMDB bio

"Jolene Kay is an American actress, known for roles in TNT's Rizzoli & Isles, J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek" (2009) and video game giant "Call of Duty."

Originally from the Midwest. Loves good chocolate. Avid rock climber.

First ever acting role was a community theatre production of "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever," in which she played Ollie.

Studied with Marcus Giamatti.

I'd say hi to her if I met her at the crag.

Sheit, I wanna do one like that about me!
Although it would be taking the definition of vanity to a whole new level. But if it went into the right hands (the right corporate hands, like Patagonia....)and for the good of Vansion then maybe. It would have to be done for both of us as a couple though. Looks like a modeling portfolio or something.
Yes it will have to be more complex. We were approached a few times in California about it and to push for lifestyle companies like Patagonia. They said it's worth trying because we fit their profile for alternative outdoors lifestyle. We just never got around to it yet I guess. ..

Taylor - fantastic, was wondering how long it would be for someone to knock out something like that. I needed a good laugh, and the universe provided.

EDIT: Wait! Are they both actually supposed to be funny? Just checked the vimeo page, it's the same dude. Even better!

What's up with using slings four times on the top ten list?
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
