I am in Suesca for the next 3 or 4 weeks, and am looking for climbing partners. I like to do it all from Sport / Trad to Bouldering. I'm staying at El Hostal Vivac. Look me up and let's get after it!

Hi Said!
I am going to be in Suesca from Dec 18-27. I'm also a Boulderite, and will be down there will a very small agenda, except for adventure. I would love to meet up and climb. I climb trad and sport in the 5.9-5.12 range. Are you staying in Suesca or Bogota?

Hey Jean,

I left Suesca and am headed to La Mojarra. It is a another climbing venue north of Suesca I heard many good things about. I ended up staying at the climbing hostal El Nomada, literally at the entrance to the rocas de Suesca. Daniele and Laurena who run the place are awesome and can set you up with partners. The place is lively and comfortable and stay includes breakfast on the weekends from their cafe. I highly recommend it. They are on facebook at \elnomadacafehostal and elnomada.cafehostal@gmail.com.

If you have questions feel free to email me, thebigrokh@gmail.com, and if you get a wild hair and make the trek to La Mojarra I'd be happy to rope up with you.

Buen Viaje!

Hey fellas!

I'm flying into Bogota on the 15th. I'll be around for 5 weeks and I have a lot of experience with both Suesca and La Mojarra.

If you guys want to meet up I can show you some of the classics!

Cheers,

Josh

The best way to Suesca from Bogota

Find your way to Portal Norte bus terminal. On the inside ring there will be a little sign for Suesca.

It ran at about 8,000 pesos two years ago

Josh, awesome. I'll be down there around Jan. 15, if you'll still be around.

I've spent about 2 months living and climbing in Suesca. Climbing partners were almost never an issue. The climbing community there is incredibly welcoming.

La Mesa de Los Santos (La Mojarra) is an incredible area and I'd highly recommend it!

Awesome beta Josh! I would love to share a catch with you. My flight gets to Bogota on the 18, and then I"m going to try to catch the first bus to Suesca on the 19th. Staying at la nomada hostel.

Evan! I'm flying out of Bogota on the 22nd but I'll try to get down there around the 15th and we can climb some classics.

Jean, Send me an email when you get to Bogota and we'll meet up in Suesca!

If you guys need rack beta.

Single rack of cams up to #2 C4. You'll find a few climbs where a #3 will be nice but it usually isn't necessary.

Nuts are great in Suesca!

Bring about 6-8 alpine draws and 6-8 sport draws.

Cheers!

Hey guys!

Hopefully this isn't too much of a thread hijack, but I'll be in Suesca tomorrow through Tuesday, staying at El Nomada Hostal. I'd love to get some climbing and beer drinking in if anyone's in the area. Thanks for all the information Josh!

Hey JT!

This is what the threads all about!

I land in Bogota on Tuesday around 3 and won't probably make it there till the weekend.

Are you going to be around after that?

I can give you some good route recommendations for that time if you'd like.

Let me know!

Hey Josh!

I had an awesome time in Suesca, such a cool place. I'm back in the states now, sorry I missed you this time around. I ended up meeting a great partner at El Nomada, Manuel. I think he may still be around when you get into Suesca, so if you'd like me to pass your information along let me know!

Hey Evan,
I would like to partner up for some climbing. I will be in Cajica with my family 01/15 - 01/25, and I could do day-trips to Suesca. (The forecast says thunderstorms for the next 10 days. That's a bummer).
Let me know if you are still looking for partners.

Ya, man. The more the merrier. I'll be in Suesca around the 16th. Let's hope the weather holds.

What am i supposed to do if it rains for 10 days?

Jean Spencer · · Boulder, CO · Joined Apr 2009 · Points: 230

@evan

When I was there weather.com predicted rain every day......it never rained once.

Weather is good. Anyone in the area? Or anyone psyched to check out La Mojarra?

Evan,
Heading to Suesca for the day tomorrow. Where should we meet?

Sorry Leo, just got this. I'm in Bogota until the weekend.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
