trying to get into skiing this year and i'm a bit tight on funds while i'm saving up to move west / camperize my van...

So i'm looking to trade my snowboard setup and get an Alpine Touring setup. I am open to all types of ski setups also, but i primarily want to make the switch for the mountaineering aspect more than just riding groomers. I figure it makes most sense to get used to AT bindings if it's want I ultimately want to do, right?

anyone got any leads? Located about 45 minutes north of boston and i currently got this ad up on CL. Ideally we could trade setups or trade + cash... Feel free to shoot me a message.

Those would be good for someone 5' 11'' 160lb(w/o wearing snow gear)? Just to double check

the payment deal seems kinda legit. $62 over 6 months is only $372 rather than the $396 up front which seems to REALLY help my broke ass... please no one buy these, lol.. please! haha

Perfect... I've been riding that ski for many many years now 6' 165lbs. Its an amazing carver super fun, got decent float but no rocker (so doesn't really piviot like the new skis), and loads of tail spring/pop outta the turns. Was one of the lightest skis on the mkt when it came out btw too.

one last question before i bite the bullet just to be sure, the bindings are with in range for 10.5 street shoe? Said they are medium so i can't imagine not fitting but i def wanna double check

Med could be width or length... I'm not sure. Best bet would be to call Diamir dealer and know the 'shell size of your boot' I'm 10.5 street and my shell is a mondo 28 or about ~320mm in length.

i called one store, the guy said i should lean toward large... but it seems like i could squeek by and get a medium? feeling unsure, lol.

Size: S: 260-315mm

M: 285-340mm

L: 330-365mm

i wear a 11.5 burton snowboard boot... so it makes me wonder if i should have a large binding also since my boot size is a whole size up from my shoe, (but i kinda like tighter hiking shoes i've noticed compared to others)

You would be fine w/ the medium from all the info here.... Thinking about snow board boot sizes is silly, they bear no consequence. If you're a 10.5 shoe size likely ur in a 27.5 or 28 mondo size and that being the case you're not going to get a shell size greater then 340. Even with a 29/29.5 you're still going to be good...
