Music at the Crag

So the other day my buddy and I were up at Rincon, and there were a bunch of folks there cragging. We passed by to go to some stuff further down on the West Ridge, but noticed they were listening to music. It seems pretty common these days to bump tunes on your phone/jambox/whatever while climbing at the crags. Does this bother anyone else?
Not to gripe, but I like to come out to Eldo and other places to escape technology. But also, I don't like listening to (insert your least favorite type of music here) on shitty speakers while I'm trying to climb. Those of you who listen to music- why do you want to do this in such a beautiful setting? What do people feel the ethic is around this?

There have been several threads before addressing this and other annoyances at the crag. You could find them with use of the Search function.

But I agree, no music at the crag. If someone needs to, use earphones and keep it to themselves.

The jambox is great... really adds some base so you can hear it jamming away from the top of the cliff.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
