I can't load Boulder.

I cannot download Boulder either. It just keeps saying to retry. I downloaded the app again and it does the same thing.

I've used the app for a few months now and have found a couple of "frustrations"

1. too many areas are sorted 'alphabetically' with no option to sort l-r or r-l. If unfamiliar with the crag, alphabetically is virtually useless.

2. location/direction descriptions are too often self referenced. IE, area A says, follow directions to area B; Area B directions say follow directions to area A. You can see the problem.

Posting about "Boulder" again. It will not download! I have downloaded the app again and it still won't work. I have had the app for a long time with no problems. Help!

For my phone it won't download when the screen goes off so when I download a huge area like Boulder I have to let it sit with mountain project open and touch the screen every minute or so. It kind of annoying but... yeah... gl

After both I and our app developer tried to help Jay, he's gone silent on us. We're holding a release of a minor update for iOS, so if anyone else is having a problem downloading Boulder (or anything else for that matter), please PM me immediately.

I tried to download the "Boulder" update today and it keeps failing. All the other updates worked. I have lots of memory on my phone. Is there a new issue?

We have no documented cases of this problem with the current release (your friend who reported a similar issue was out of disk space), and we can't help if you won't help us figure it out.

If you would like to reply to our prior emails, we'd be happy to help get this resolved.

Corrections to be made in lists.
accented letters are still coming out as code instead of the symbol
"é" instead of "é"
"è" instead of "è"
"û" instead of"û"
"&" instead of "&"

in "Bookmarks", "My Ticks", "My Todo's" and "My Star Ratings".

Hi,

I've recently started using the new version of the Mountain project app on my iphone 4; I had used the older version for a long time without problems. I am having issues installing new areas into the App- I cannot install any areas, period. After downloading the area, the app states that the "Installation failed."

I am currently using: iphone 4 v.7.1.2

Anybody else having similar issues?

For big areas I've found that it's safer to install the areas and updates without changing app or letting the screen turn off.
If it keeps failing, un-install - re-install.

Luc,

I followed your advice and made sure the screen didn't turn off- this allowed the phone to download the area.

A strange issue, but simple enough to resolve.

I just updated to 8.2 and it's working fine for me. Perhaps delete the app and reinstall. That will ensure that you have the latest version of the MP app and clean database to start with.
