Im wondering what the best shoe is for this place? Its not my moccasins which are amazing on some stuff, and my TC Pros are amazing on other stuff. But this stuff is a little different.

What do you want to do in RR? Long moderate trad routes? Hard free routes or sport climbing? Bouldering? Aid?

I was down there last weekend and wore Evolv Defy when I wanted comfort (under 5.10 or over 3 pitches), Tenaya Tarifa for bouldering, and Tenaya Masai for just about everything else.

TC Pros would be a great all around choice. Generally comfortable, great edging support, etc. Why don't you want to use them?

I go with the Masai's for about 90% of my climbing. I think they are a great choice for the long routes out there and perform well up to 5.10-11. TC Pros would be a good choice as well.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
