Movement Denver Partner Roll Call

With Movement Denver set to open in just over two weeks (Nov. 22), so excited!, I thought I'd set up a Movement Denver partner board (similar to what was done for ET in Golden). Is this a bit premature (maybe), but I'm super excited about a climbing gym that'll be so close to Denver. Without further ado, here's what I'm looking for in a partner:

Name: Sadie

Looking for a gym partner: Yes! I'd like to find a few regular partners.

Schedule: Monday/Wendesday evenings (after 6pm), maybe an early morning session (but I'd have to be done by 7:15 or so), and (if the weather turns cold), weekends anytime.

Type of climbing: lead, TR, bouldering

Experience level: 8 months or so. Just beginning to lead inside, but I've done a lot of lead belaying (inside and outside).

Attributes of a gym partner: attentive and safe belayer, reliable, and just generally stoked to climb.

Contact: PM.

Where exactly is this new gym going to be? Depends on how close it is from work, I may be able to check it out from time to time, a nice little change from RnJ2.

I will probably be going there. As long as their route-setters are good.

Lead and TR. Boulder once in awhile, but I'd only do that if they have no auto-belays and I'm alone.

Been climbing for a bit.

The gym will be right around 6th ave and I25. When u are at that junction take a look south. Its the grey warehouse looking building. I believe its actually on 5th. Im pumped for this gym to open. I live like 4 blocks from it.

That's too bad, I work south of DTC so that's kind of far for me, especially in afternoon traffic. Wouldn't be a bad option to visit once in a while, but it would be time consuming to train there regularly.

I expect to go there. Mid mornings or early afternoon would be best for me. Climbing 19 years. Lead only. I'm too creaky to boulder and too cranky for TR.

Awww Yeah! I work across the street from MC+F @ the Battery Building and I'll be looking for morning and lunchtime partners for sure!

Bumpin' this up.

I'm all signed up and just waiting.

Really variable schedule here, would rather go during the day since it'll 1) be crowded at night 2) I have a partner at night.

Hopefully they get the go ahead this week so I can get started next week after the turkey has worn off.

Lead only for now, may boulder as I get in better shape. Formerly able to climb 13's, mid 11 on a good day now. I plan to have a Rocky montage at Movement this winter/spring. Still have the fundamentals of someone very serious and experienced, I just happen to be weak.

I've seen the holes in the floor at Movement in Boulder. I've seen people carted away at other gyms. I've got a friend who is 1/2" shorter due to a bad belayer at the gym. I've decked from half way up the wall in at R&J. So, given all that, I probably won't climb with you unless you've got at least a few or more years of solid experience. I can't afford to deck at this point in my life.

Moved to Denver recently and I'll be going to Movement soon as they open.

Looking for lead partners with solid experience. Don't care what you climb as long as you don't drop me!

Nicelegs - I work across the street in the Battery Building. I'll be planning on some 60 minute lunchtime power sessions.
