Description Suggest change

The boulder fields on the east and south sides of Windy Peak are filled with varnished sandstone, which makes for high quality bouldering. The slightly more involved approach makes for a very secluded area.

Getting There Suggest change

From the intersection of SR 159 and SR160, drive 5.7 miles west on SR160, cross a cattle guard on the right onto a dirt road. 0.7 miles from the cattle guard, the road makes a sharp right, turning northwest. At 1.7 miles from the cattle guard, there is a parking pullout on the left. The road is marked with BLM fiberglass signs. A trail leads from the pullout, which brings one to the Warm Up Boulder after about a 20 minute hike.
