Now lets apply the percent of pollution the climbers generate to the big picture (trucks, planes, trains in the local vicinity)....and I'm sure climbers are a minority contributor.

I'm sorry you have trouble with parking when you go out, but the early bird gets the worm...period.

Wow Daniel, how progressive of you.

Since we, as climbers, represent such a small percentage of the problem we should simply ignore it? If some people would like to acknowledge their contribution to carbon pollution and consider alternatives why do you care? Sounds more like you don't want a bus load of carbon conscious climbers appearing at your crag.

Phew, I don't miss that! With mostly boulderers and fair weather weekend divers around the routes and dive sites stay pristine and up for grabs. Void of graffiti and broken bottles the crags are striking with wild beauty. Marijuana smokers have taken to the streets so the air stays crisp as well. Too many people, people! Maybe using scare tactics will work. Such as : climbing is not cool it's for old people and skinny lanky dudes with fros. Worth the shot...or : climbers are all bums and live in vans..or : climbers' feet stink...things like that with enough effort will keep crowds in malls and in front of TV's

I love how people put words in others mouths.

My statement was more towards the fact that a pollution estimate was motivated by lack of parking.
I was very progressive, I made a suggestion on how to obtain a parking space.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
