Messaging People?

Maybe it's just because I am new, or maybe it's because I don't know how. I haven't been able to figure out how to private message people. Do I need a certain number of posts first?

Click on the user's name. When their profile comes up, click on "Contact XXX" (where XXX is the username).

I've been having issues also. Maybe its the iPhone app but for example you cannot click on either of your names. Only certain users with photos seem to be linked to something else. What am I missing?

The website does not have private messages, but you can email a member through the website using the method listed above. You have to check your email for a response; it wont show up on the website.

It must be the iPhone app. I can't click on anyone's profile.

If you're using the app none of the above user posts have avatars.

Therefore you cannot link to them without using the full website where the user's name appears in blue typeset.

If an avatar is used it makes it easier to link to this person's home page (by clicking on the avatar) where you can contact this person with the link under the avatar.

Hope this clears up your issue

I found out on the iPhone app if you push the "post replay" then at the bottom it gives you the option to "use the full website". You can then click on the persons profile and pm them.

That worked great, thanks all!

I just changed the code to link the user's name to their personal page, where (as noted above), you can use the "Contact" link.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
