Tele Boot Sizing Question!

So I measured my heel off the wall to 26.5cm (27 would give a tiny bit of room). However, I wear a size 9-9.5 street shoe (i like tight fitting sneaks for running) and wear a size 10 (43) in Five-Ten climbing shoes (but its a really tight fit at first).

Based on the above, what size shell, liner, mondo, or tele boot am I?

Appreciate all insight and help with this, as there is no shop within an hour in PA to size tele boots.

You're not gonna like the answer but it depends on boot manufacturer.
I'm a 42 in 5.10 climbing shoes and a crispi mondo 27 fits amazing but BD and scarpa fit much differently.

Look at each boot your looking ats size chart to determine what mondo size you'd likely be.

Thankls! I'd love to get more feedback on what climbing shoe size (EUR) people are and their related tele sizing in a particular brand...

street shoe is 12 comfortable fit. US

29.0 mondo scarpa t2 fits VErY snug with toes just touching when buckled in and standing. Toes move away as come forward onto toes. Purposefully sized smaller for better deep and chopped pow handling. I could def get away with going to a 29.5 for a more comfortable groomer only boot. Usually just unbuckle them when touring.

Have worn crispi and garmont with same size but they have a larger shell in forward foot area and can pack out more.

I was advised to fit the shell cuz you need tele boots tight which I found to be good advice. Scarpa shells sizes are same for 28.5 and 29. Everyone else is 29 and 29.5. Get a good shell you can work with the liners.

I'm a 9-9.5 street shoe and I take a 26.5 in tele boot (Scarpa T2 and BD Push). You can bake the liners if you need a little more room. Easier to make space than to try and get more snug back. Tight heel is important.

Also, I have a high instep, the Scarpa has a strap that runs across where your foot bends helping to keep my heel down. The BD has one lower on the instep and then a second strap higher up my shin. I like the one that crosses the bend better (Scarpa) for that.

Climbing: Acopa 9, Sportiva 41.5

Good luck.

You really need to try some boots on to get the sizing right, when it comes to ski boots the size of the boot is just the first of a ton of fit questions.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
