Dear Climbing Community in the DR: My name is Daniel and I am buying a one-way plane ticket to the DR! ..arriving around the first week in December and staying for around a month at least most likely.. I did not find a ton of info on mountainproject about the climbing, but am very interested because I hear there is good limestone and I would love to meet up with some locals and climb some routes.. should I bring a trad rack? or is it just bolted limestone.. ? Any info/contacts would be so awesome.. I am very eager to meet up with some people and get on some routes! thanks |

Even though this article is 5 years old, I don't believe anything substantial has been done to solve the problem. Replacing stainless with stainless does nothing. mountainproject.com/v/lette… All stainless steel bolts in the Caribbean are unsafe. |
