anyone have any experience with these ropes? Interested in the 70M Trango Diamond 9.4. Seems like a great price, just not sure of the handling or durability. All their ropes are dry treated. Very curious.

I just bought a Trango Lotus 9.9 70m and in the two times I've used it I've really liked it. I can't comment on durability but no problems so far.

Oh...PMI? Ok...cool
Trango has a good deal on all their ropes right now. May check them out. They rival some pro deals.

I own both the Diamond and Amphibians. Durable, supple, no frills. I've used the Diamond in a variety of mediums, granite multi-pitch, ice, mixed, snow. It is a great rope and really shines for long stuff. A tad heavier than its industry competition, but the durability is right up there. I would go for the Lotus if your looking for a red pointing rope, or Titan.

Agreed. I have the Diamond and it's great. Durable, good handling and really really bright when it's new. Get it.

I used a Trango 9.4 Diamond 70 this past season and loved it. I am not gentle on my ropes and used it for trad climbing as well as pounded on it for an entire Rifle season. It finally quit when the core starting showing after 100's of Rifle falls and I immediately ordered another one. Handles well, supple, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these ropes. I haven't used the other models, but I can give the Diamond my full support.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
