So because pitons scar the rock it is OK to chisel holds were none existed before? I don't quite get that ridiculous logic.

Your both right we should have left the route alone and even praised Scott for his futuristic approach to putting up routes in the Stronghold.

Come one come all and bring your chisel bit equipped Bosches, Tim and GUmojo got some great unclimbed faces for you to do.

If you clowns are the future of climbing I weep for the sport.

GUmojo how about growing a pair and using your real name. Trolls are cowards.

I can easily see anyone saying "Okay, you've made your point, move on and quit beating Scott up about it". No big, nobody wants to see their friend (and puppet master in some cases) thrashed like that.

But most of you don't stop there. You say it's perfectly okay (or you don't care) that he carved holds, glued the sh*t out of stuff, and added bolts to established routes. Really? Does that just apply to him, or can anyone do it with your full approval?

Hendrixson gave me some perspective on climbers who started in this sport relatively recently. After reading his post I feel a little naïve in that I figured the attitude toward rock preservation was a given and somewhat passed on from generation to generation and that it is to our collective benefit that we preserve those traditions. What I’m hearing from tim, gumojo, brian b and mike d and Scott (although I’m sure he is reading this, but remains silent) is that they condone, Chipping, Bolting Cracks and Crossing Established Lines.
So my direct question to those of you I mentioned above, Do you honestly approve of those practices or are you on the Scott band wagon waiting for him to bolt up another line?
No need to go into detail, this is a simple yes and no question.

Your still an anonymous coward.

How about answering Peter's question trollkind.

Peter, you should take some reading comprehension classes because if you knew how to read you would know that my posts are about internet ethics and trying to save Mountain Project (and the Arizona climbing community reputation) from the trash bin. I never said anything about condoning anything you few keep digging up year after year. I'm tired of this trash as are a lot of people. You're slinging mud on a post that simply asked for pictures.

Tim, the so called eternal butt hurt that happened 5 years ago isn't the issue. Ask around. You'll find the butthurt has nothing to do with rock.

Why do you feel you're superior to the rest of us?

Name Calling? (getting rubes to fight for him.... while his tools do his fighting for him.)

Thanks for proving my point. {This sort of harassment is tantamount to schoolyard bullying.}

I doubt these pics are book worthy but here are a few from last weekend.
