Anybody have input to where the best dry walls are the New? Me and a buddy are looking at a few wet days and wanna make the most out of our time while here.

Rico Suave buttress (5.7-5.11d)....and the Hole (same area) if you wanna climb in a cave w/lots of fixed draws.

Another day you could go to the party buttress, there are a bunch of routes there that stay dry.

I heard 1st buttress at the meadow river gorge may be dry as well but I can't verify. Have fun and go hard!

Thanks a bunch for the swift reply! Looks like we are going to The Hole to get our project on and egos smashed lol. Ever camped at Summersville Dam, if so would you say its fairly redneck free and worth staying at for free instead of the AAC campground? We are cheap dirtbagging at the moment.

Never stayed at the Dam, but AAC has these tent platforms which will be really nice if it rains more than a little bit. We got a bunch (6") of snow while I was staying there this spring and all my shit stayed dry.

Definitely check out Rico, too, the 5.11 to the right of Rico is seriously sick

You can camp for free underneath the Summersville lake dam if you don't mind driving up there. I think it's called the gauley river campground or something. Also. the cirque stays dry.

I'm not going to go off on my usual rant.

Instead I am going to link you to a forum that has this discussed.
