I took some people who "climbed a bit up to 5.9 in the gym" on the first pitch of the Army route for their first outdoor climbing. (note - it's a sandbagged 5.5)

Let's just say that their wide eyes at the belay stance convinced me we should rap off instead of finishing....

If you want to give her a taste of multipitch with nothing crazy I enjoyed this in the Amphitheatre:

East Bench Dihedral

followed by First Pinnacle SE Face

SE Face has some nice exposure without being totally terrifying for a beginner.
