I'm willing to fight over music. Done it before but music coming outta a smartphone or a nipple??.. doubt it

Personally I would do what I always do to inconsiderate music listenings, that is, I politely ask them to turn their music off or grab some headphones. Newsflash, the rest of us don't want to listen to Nickleback or any of your other crappy tastes in music.

This video is awesome on so many levels: bouldering with with a harness and a rope with an ATC and a figure 8 clipped to his harness (in addition to the Nipple).

He needed a harness so he had something to hang his nipple on.

That's what the nipple ring is for!

Your played out Nickelback joke aside, I hear more flat-brimmed Bros screaming beta from the ground than annoying music at crags. I generally avoid crowds so this really sounds like a problem for people who want to drive up to the belay.

reminds me of when I was on glacier point apron last fall... Could hear someone climbing below me getting closer... and closer... Kinda annoying as shit.

This is why I like my Adirondack cliffs. All summer I climbed and rarely saw another group. I can only imagine what an annoyance this will be at popular places like the Gunks, Cathedral, Boulder Canyon area, etc.

If you need music, wear headphones, don't infringe on someone else's experience with your crappy music, or stay in the gym and listen to someone else's crappy music.

26, 8, 10 kN if someone wants to do more investigation
Since chalk bag and harness are from Singing Rock and the shoes are Rock Pillars I would guess the biner might be Czech made as well. Perhaps Ocun or Singing Rock.

I really dislike music from others while climbing outdoors. There is always music at the gym..and sometimes that even bugs.

Another note imagine an area where the climbs are super close. Or imagine a bunch of people at a belay ledge all playing different music. Bad idea.

From a personal standpoint I dont like it. But then again I rarely hear or notice anything while I'm climbing except my belayer, my body and the climb at hand.

Just because someone is a bigger dick than you does not give you an excuse to be a smaller dick. I'm not looking to start a fight here, but I would respectfully ask that you not play music when out climbing and others are around. Ever.

I guess I'd rather deal with someone's annoying music, than a deck fall because climber and belayer didn't communicate well due to earphones. I'd rather not deal with either. But lesser of two evils, really.
I would much rather you wear headphones and you deck.
The other option is that the other people around you have to listen to a bunch of shitty music while climbing and are at risk of because they can't hear their belayers. you know about the other people... right?

I dont usually play music at the crag

Unless other folks start blaring it out

Thats when i take out my phone and start playing chinese opera

youtube.com/watch?v=w20UnLq…

After all if they can enjoy their music, they cant possibly complain about other folks listening to theirs

For some reason this seems to result in everyone at the crag agreeing to stop playing music all toghether

;)

That was a truly annoying video. It was so bad I was laughing and had to turn it off at 40 seconds. :) Priceless!

Can I get mine in Hairy Chested camo?

For times when Sven & I argue who is the bigger girly man, I can pull my Nipple and proclaim my pumpitude

I usually roll into campsites late at night blasting Leonard Nemoys Hobbit song but thanks to you I’ve got some new material.

Was there really a need to revive this dead thread from 2014?

It's been a while since I've been on this site. Reading back through this thread has been fun.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
