Hey there,

I have about two weeks to spend traveling from Denver back to Oregon in late December/early January. I'm looking for suggestions for some mellow alpine objectives AI2/WI2/M4 or less with easy to intermediate skiing being a plus. We've looked at roughly following the curve from Denver to SLC to Jackson Hole and then west through Idaho, though are flexible. Any favorites you all have to share?

All the best,

Tess

I would suggest looking at SW Montana around the Bozeman area. Look into the book SELECT ALPINE CLIMBS IN SW MONTANA by climbing guide Ron Brunckhorst. There are a lot of gems in this book. Ron owns Reach Your Peak guiding service. He guides Alpine climbs as well as rock and ice and back country skiing. Have a great time and enjoy those two weeks.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
