Mt Evans Bouldering Guidebook--Request for Public Opinion

It is a real shame what has been said about Cam but definitely go to Jamie Emerson's blog to read specifically what a ridiculous hash Bob has made of three of the most important bouldering areas in the Front Range. It may be a free country but freedom carries responsibilities and Bob and Falcon definitely didn't even come close to meeting theirs.

Jamie said:

"I talked to a fellow there from Falcon and he said that they would contact Bob and that he would really look into it. He also suggested that myself and my group of friends maybe had the wrong names and that Bob was very experienced in Colorado Bouldering."

I'm still concerned about all of this and I don't like to see wilderness areas being regarded like this.

I'm disturbed about having people out enjoying their forest and being threatened that no other non-motorized user group endures (& a small percentage user group at that).

If the mandate of mass access to the Evans Wilderness continues, which it most assuredly will, I think there should be more of an effort undertaken by the land mgrs/owners and climbers to cooperate in working with these climbing areas.

Comparing the sacrifice it takes to ensure domestic tranquility as to wilderness conservation seems a bit of a stretch to me.

I've seen the horror. Horrors that you've seen. But you have no right to call me a murderer. You have no right to call me a murderer. You have a right to kill me. You have a right to do that, but you have no right to judge me . It's impossible for words to describe what is necessary to those who do not know what horror means. Horror. Horror has a face, and you must make a friend of horror. Horror and mortal terror are your friends. If they are not, then they are enemies to be feared. They are truly enemies......

No worries, Kirra. It's an old movie.

My weekend was too quiet. I need to shake things up a little. The weather was beautiful for a change. Did you climb this weekend?

Holy crap! That was intense! Just read the whole thread and I am still trying to figure out if NSFOD's or SAL's piss made it the furthest. I'm pretty sure Sally's balls are bigger though. I have a slight bias on the topic though as I like to boulder in prestine desert environs and SAL is an OG Brosef.

Whatever happened with this issue?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
