Lonely Vigil

Anyone climb Lonely Vigil recently and have issues with the rappel? I would love to understand the ropes that were left on this tower.

I have climbed the Lighthouse several times resently and my recommendation is to do the double-rope rap from the ledge around the south side of the tower about 20 feet or so below the big beefy bolts just below the summit block. To reach the rap station you must do a short rap from the beefy bolts (do not attempt to rap from these to the ground as you will not be able to pull your rope. This should be pretty apparent when up there).

thanks Mia. That is how we rapped of the tower. However, we found two ropes on this rap anchor. One of these was cut about 40 feet off the ground.

It was really confusing and I was just looking for some clarity. We cleaned both of the ropes that were left on this anchor and I was hoping there would be an interesting story to explain what we found.
