Anyone have experience with Mtntools resling service? Particularly on C4's?

I was planning on sending my BD cams (7pcs) back to BD for new slings this winter... But I've got an alien and a few tricams that could use new slings too, so i was thinking of consolidating it down to one shipment to Mtntools (who I would go to for the tricams anyway)

How's the quality of their work compare? Worth the extra shipping to get the C4's back to BD?

I can't speak to Mtn tools, I'm sure others can chime in about their work, but I would highly recommend sending in to Runout Customs in Moab, UT. The guy there does an awesome job and usually gets them turned around in a day or two! Plus, he'll put an extendable on that alien of yours!

Edit: Runout customs does the reinforced nylon loop, which is the same as the BD camalot sling from the factory

This is somewhat interesting and may sway your decisions about not going through BD. Maybe other companies can duplicate their slinging process but the add in magazines for Mtntools shows a c4 with a different sling job.

I used Runout Customs in Moab back in 2013 for some reslinging work and was happy with them. runoutcustoms.com/

I've used Mountain Tools: good people, good work, good prices.

And they send you stickers.

I use Runout in Moab as well. They do a great job!

wired bliss. I have had more than a dozen cams re-slung by them and several trigger wires too. Good prices, quick turn-around, quality work.

I thought about using mtntools for some re-slinging, but after a not-so-pleasant experience with some boot buying, I will never give them an ounce of business again.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
