Can a 24' motor home make it to the campgrounds at The Bank and/or Sand Gulch? Fairly high ground clearance but not 4wd. And are the sites pretty tight to back one of these into, or no issue? Heading there this Friday night and also concerned about lack of alternatives if campgrounds are full, since they are pretty small. Are there options along the road, like unimproved pullouts that are legal? I am guessing crowded there, but maybe not yet with all the nice weather in Denver-Boulder.
Go straight to the unimproved pullouts. Don't mess around with the campgrounds.
How are the washboards this year? I might be be a tad concerned getting an RV up that hill with bad washboards. Probably fine if you take it really slow.
No problem my friend. A Toyota Tundra is 19' and not that much narrower. Any of the parking spots would fit it just fine.
I'd be more concerned with the availability. On any given Friday night they are full when the weather is so nice.
Getting up to the Bank would be your last resort given the road width. If you hit a spot that is bad, you'd be hard pressed to turn around.
On the other hand, I had a friend take a 30' RV up to the Bank.
Can you do a 19 point turn?

There is a large pullout on the way to the Bank where some cattle pens are. That would be a good place to set up camp I would say. You can hop the fence and walk to Sand Gulch or go up the road to the Bank. If you really want a campsite, your best bet is the Sand Gulch sites on the left as you drive in. My friend Jeff has a similar size RV and he used to park there.
