Hey MP, I'm Coming into town tomorrow for work to attend a light truck tire seminar at miller sports park. I'll be in town until Friday night with most of my free time being in the evenings. I'll also be without a car. Are there any gyms to visit near south Main Street or decent public transportation to use in the evening that could get me to some nearby boulders? I won't have a rack with me but I'll bring shoes and a harness.

Also interested in cool local bars/places to eat If anyone would be so kind as to make some recommendations.

Thanks!

Louie

Looks like there are three gyms; the front, momentum, and rockreation. If I only visit one which should I go to?

Rockreation closed a few months ago.
Your options are the Front (located the closest to downtown) and Momentum Millcreek on 3300 S and Momentum Sandy on 10600S (about 25min from downtown).

Since you are in the downtown area, try the Front - frontslc.com/

From downtown, you can take the Red Sandy Trax Line to the 1300 S./Ballpark stop and walk 3 blocks to the Front.

Not an slc local, but on my last visit I had a good time at

tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_…

I really liked

tripadvisor.com/ShowUserRev…

there are a lot of other bars within walking distance. it seemed like a cool area.

safe travels and have fun.

Lucky 13, located on 1300 south just east of the trax line by about a block. Best burgers in town. If you want a good selection of "real" beer try the Beerhive, 128 S Main St.

Second Lucky 13 for burgers. Three other suggestions for downtown:

Curry Fried Chicken - Pakistani place that sells the best fried chicken you'll ever have

From Scratch - The best sausage pizza (gotta be the sausage) in Utah

Spitz - Middle Eastern place with "street cart fries", where you basically get a gyro served over fries. Delicious.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
