A Few Suggestions

The following are a few suggestions from using the site heavily for a day:

- Split apart a multi-pitch, or alternatively, track each pitch separately. Some may only finish a single pitch and want to tick that. Additionally, I want to place different comments on each pitch, depending if I led or followed.
- The ability to associate a route's FA climber with a member of Mountain Project. When looking at a member's profile, being able to see that association, of which routes they have FA'd.
- Ability to maintain a friend list. Have a link where one can see a feed of a friends ticks, contributions, etc.

I don't think a pitch-by-pitch listing is useful anywhere but on the tick list, and since most multipitch routes aren't bolted, the exact definition of the first pitch, much less the 6th pitch, is too hazy to be useful.

As for the rest, these are good suggestions and I would love to see them too.

I agree, adding people to the things I can favorite (even if this isn't publicly visible) so their updates (ticks, additions, comments, etc.) show up in my "What's New in Favorites" would be great.

Associating and FA would be cool

Splitting multi-pitch pitches, while difficult to successfully implement, is a cool idea. I know I use MP to track my pitch count over time, and this would help me drill down more.

If the site ends up splitting pitches out, it should also make ticks "editable" instead of straight delete and replace.

Yes, thanks for remind me on that! It would be neat if I could edit my ticks, instead of being forced to delete and add. I usually add to my tick the method of climb, ie. TR or Sport, in addition to how I climbed it, ie. on-sight, redpoint, etc. Would be kool if these were dropdown options on the actual tick functionality... I do like the fact you can at least specify dates and provide multiple ticks on a climb.

In regards to the multipitch, I would like to be able to track a few items were pitch... if I led it or followed, if I did it cleanly, fell, or had to hang. Sux having to track this on lets say a 5 pitch climb with the tick only allowing for a finite number of characters.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
