Climbing around rishikesh, India?

I'll be in Rishikesh for five weeks doing a yoga teacher training and would love to get my hands on some rock on one or more of my days off. Anybody know of decent day trip areas and/or local reputable guides who do climbing (google gives me loads on trekking and rafting but not many who do climbing).

I spent a couple of months in India last year. I didn't hear of any climbing near Rishikesh if there is any climbing nearby it's not well known. I know there is a fair amount of bouldering and sport climbing near Dharamsala to the North, definitely not a day trip though. And Hampi is incredible!!

Hey Stacey, I'm just about to do the same thing! Did you have any luck? Even if it's a gym or something near by to keep fingers strong
