I am moving to Ogden utah in the next month and looking for climbing and bouldering partners. Looking to climb with some cool people who like to push themselves( this doesnt have to be v14) who are not all about boom boxes, dub step and screaming when they fall off their super proj.
I can get out every weekend and train in the evenings and would like to take weekend trips to VRG, Joes, Red Rocks, LCC. I am an engineer so time is limited minus training during the week but after I settle in I am sure I can get out bouldering some evening. I boulder around v12 project harder and climb 5.13 project 14. Also trad climbing in zion and indian creek would be sick. I am looking to do a free ascent of moonlight this fall if any partners are interested. I have all gear etc...
Let me know guys!
Also any suggestions on where I should get my apartment/ townhouse? I will be working in Ogden.
Sweet man! Sounds like ogdens gettin a super crusher. I live like 10 min from Ogden and love getting out. I'll climb 11s and 12s but no thirteens yet and my max for bouldering is like v5. I do quite enjoy trad, especially LCC. Just send me a pm and we can exchange info
Well, you climb way harder than me. Just started training this past year but I'm still floundering (read: falling) off of trad 5.11.
As far as living, I'd recommend you try to stay on the east side of I-15. The west side has really poorly constructed transportation routes which like to backup at convenient times like before and after work.
I would try to live east of Harrison if you can make it happen. That maybe a bit tougher if you're coming alone and not looking for a house, it's a great area though.
I would be willing to move into a house with some people if they have a room open. Otherwise probably just looking to get a nice town house or apartment that can hold my wall and stuff.
