Hello,

Just recently moved to the Victoria/Houston area from the Northeast (Chemical Engineer), and am looking for a climbing partner.

23 years old, recently started climbing outdoors (up to 5.8 at The Gunks).

I'd like to go climb in the Austin area on weekends (Barton Creek, Enchanted Rock, and McKinney Falls).

Have not climbed trad yet, but would like to in the next 6 months.

I've got all the necessary gear to climb top roped and set-up anchors, as well as a TX State Parks Pass so you can get in for free :)

Let me know if you're interested!

Check out the Austin area meetup for group climbs. You should be able to meet some people through that that are around your level, though they've been kind of short on weekend climbs.

There's also the climbing buddies mailing list. I'd post what you just posted there. You should be able to get a few responses.

Thanks! I'll check those out for sure.

I'm planning g to hit the Greenbelt in the morning. Prob pretty late notice but hit me up if you're interested. I'm out local every Sunday though, so just let me know when you are going to be in town and we can go get on some limestone. Plenty of local stuff to get on.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
