Tenaya (name of a beautiful lake and peak in Tuolumne Meadows).

My wife's name is Tanaya (different spelling) and she gets
many "great name" comments.

Choosing a name is so difficult...

All 3 of my kids have Alaska/Yukon mountain or wilderness names. Our girl is Tatum which is a north side satellite peak of Denali.

Congrats in advance Dad.

"If you've been alive since the 1960s, you might remember the quasi-back-to-nature-sounding names given to children by their hippie parents: Wildflower Harvest, Spirit Sky, Mountain Song, and other appellations that were as much statements of freedom as they were about the out-of-doors. The names of today seem to speak directly to the parents’ favorite parts of the outdoors. I think this trend should be taken a step further – I’d love to meet a kid named Gnarly Offwidth or A5 Nailup. "
